Learn Palm Reading - The Mounts
The Mounts of the palm are defined regions that typically mound into hilly shapes when the palm is slightly cupped. Although they may be under-defined in slight or slender hands, they nonetheless exist and their degree of development is determined by comparing the volume of one to the definition of the whole.
The Mounts at the base of the fingers draw their name for the finger with which they are associated:
Venus: thumb
Jupiter: index finger
Saturn: middle finger
Apollo: ring finger
Mercury: little finger
On the balance of the palm a number of additional Mounts exist:
Upper Mars: middle outer margin of palm between the Head and Heart Lines
Lower Mars: middle inner margin of palm above the Mount of Venus
Moon: lower outer margin of palm below the Head Line
A final Mount, the Earth Mount, is the only mount situated on the back of the hand and it reflects the seeker’s degree of connection with nature.
